Na meer dan vijftien jaar aan de top mee te draaien, diverse compilatie-cd's en 12inches, mogen we gerust stellen dat Marieke de Boef alias DJ Promiss nog steeds een van Nederlands beste female dj's is.

Wat begon als hobby werd een succesvolle carriere met optredens in toonaangevende clubs in binnen- en buitenland en op grote dance-events zoals Impuls Outdoor, Extrema en Lovefields.

Geboren werd ze als Marieke de Boef maar de wereld kent haar de laatste 20 jaar als DJ PROMISS.

In Rotterdam liggen haar DJ-roots, eind jaren 90 begon ze haar carriere op de 'Boot Barocca' en verwierf even later residentie bij toen zeer populaire 'Danssalon'. Daarna ging het snel met haar carriere en draaide ze in de beste clubs door heel Nederland en Europa. Clubs als 'IT', 'ROxY', 'MATRIXX', 'ASTA', 'O' en 'NIGHTTOWN' stonden op haar maandelijkse gigs-lijst.

Ze draaide voor HedKandi en Ministry of Sound en had jarenlang een eigen truck op het Rotterdamse FFWD dancefestival.

Op het Rotterdamse BASIC BEAT label brengt ze diverse compilatie-cd's en producties op vinyl uit. (zie hieronder discografie)

Later bij RHYTHM IMPORT werd haar grootste hit 'STOLEN' uitgebracht waarmee ze weken op nr.1 in de dancelijsten stond.

Ook is ze een veel gevraagde DJ in de gay-scene. Zo stond ze in 2016 voor de 5e keer als headliner op de Amsterdam Gaypride en organiseert ze zelf de women-only feesten 'Girlplanet' (www.girlplanet.info) en 'TULiPS' in Amsterdam.

Haar muziekstijl kan worden omschreven als een energieke, brede mix van pop, house en club.

Het is voor Promiss uitkijken naar een nieuw alterego want een belofte is ze niet meer, die is reeds uitgekomen!

This accomplished Dutch DJ began her career in Rotterdam back in 1995 and is known for her energetic aura behind the decks, her ability to energise a crowd and always deliver a good time!

She made her name playing in some of best clubs in the Netherlands, such as IT, RoXY, Off Corso, Matrixx, Panama and Asta and is widely known as one of the best loved DJ's on the Dutch Gay-scene. In August 2015 she will be headlining Amsterdam Gay Pride for the 4th year running!

Internationally she has played gigs for some of the best known brands, which include Pacha in Spain and Egypt, CDLC Barcelona, Ministry of Sound and Hed Kandi and playing in cities such as Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Paris, Copenhagen and London.

She became a firm favourite at festivals such as Impulz Outdoor, Riverdance, Extrema, Lovefields and Rotterdam's Fast Forward Dance Parade which attracted up to 400,000 people and where DJ Promiss become the first female DJ in the Netherlands to play on her own truck!

She is also widely known for her music releases on Basic Beat and Rhythm Import, with her productions being aired by Hollands biggest radio stations 3FM and Radio538.

With her energy, flawless mixing skills and her versatile collection of music, best to describe as a mix of house, club, pop, latin and discotech, DJ Promiss is still a force to be reckoned with and should definitely not be missed!
